does a mtx 942 have enough power for an alpine type x the 942 is 940 watts by 1 @ 4 ohms bridged and the type x has dual 3.6 ohm voice coils

it will still hit, but i'd say get more power, power it at its full potential,

when you buy an expensive sub like that you want 2 things, you want it to hit and you want it to sound good doing it, so to be 100% satisfied with your results power it right.

If you wiring your amp to 4ohm, you need a dual 2ohm voice coil driver...

what ever you do be sure you wire it at full power, and be sure

you do some free air testing with the wall socket and get some good excursion vids

its under warranty
