is this enough clearance?

i'm building a 2.5 cubic foot slotted enclosure for a fi bl12. The size of the front panel I was going to make is going to be 15 inches tall. The cutout diameter is 11.1 inches for the sub. My question is will 2 inches be enough below and above the cutout diameter to prevent the sub from cracking it?

If you're using 3/4 mdf that would really be 1.25" above and below. Which should be fine if you build your enclosure correctly with wood glue, mdf, and screws or nails to clamp when glue dries. When the glue dries with two pieces of mdf, if clamped correctly the joint should be stronger than the actual mdf.
