shop vac is the route I would try first

yeah shop vac will work i did it to one of my old pioneer house subs. i used a 20 ounce bottle so it would cover the whole thing but don't pull on it you could cause damage to the sub and don't turn the bottle it could scratch the sub and it don't look good .
