Is This An UPGRADE ?

What I HAVE:

(my sig) 2 10" Memphis M1 subs sealed in their own enclosures (pre fab down firing xt cab box) Id guess n say they are getting, at least, 350w a piece from a zx1000.1 @ 2 ohm

What I think I WANT:

Single SQ 12" around 1200w RMS. PSI or something similar in an enclosure built to spec and probably down firing. Also Im going to see how long the zx1000.1 will last operating @ 1ohm.. http://www.caraudio.com/forums/images/smilies/blush.gif

... Just want something that will go lower, louder, better sq, and to get my 4ch amp off the floor board and under the seat.

What you guys think ?

I is afeared i'll have to get 2 12" to get get the results im wanting...

You didnt list a budget but Image Dynamics makes some good SQ/SQL ish.

i went with some tidal audio subs made by Id. If u have the money go with Id (not sayin the tidal sub but they can b had for cheap)

Yea I have a feelin ill be getting an Image Dynamics or PSI. Open to any really though

Getting louder and lower is easy, just build a ported box but maintaining SQ makes it trickier...

I don't really like the ported for all the really different types of music I listen too. I also like to turn the LP up a bit on the sub amp and let all of the music pop. I mean their loud and hit low no doubt but.. idk. I doubt ive ever listened to a pro's box design though

I think you should build a ported enclosure tuned low for the subs you already have.
