Is this an ok place to ground to?

I really can't find any other spot in my trunk besides this.

It's in between the back seats and the rear speakers.

Could I just hook my ground wire to it and then put a nut on it to keep it there?

why dont you just get a screw, clean off some paint and make you own??

You have a spare tire take it out, look for clearance to make sure your not drilling into something, there is rarely anything near the spare tire well and ground the amp...

probably not... think about it this way

electricity is the flow of electrons right? electrons carry a negative charge right? so the ground would be pretty important right? why are you persistent in half-assing it?

There are no shops close to me.

I'm not a pro at this...I don't get what the difference is between that bolt in the pic and drilling a hole in my spare tire well.

i grounded mine on my trunk latch...its completely under all trip pieces, can't see it, has a good ground too....there are factory bolts that you can get by with grounding to...also, insid your spare well. your not going to mess anything up, and even a drywall screw will go through that metal with your drill on its highest speed...its really not that complicated nor will it harm your pontiac, anyway, my other amp is under a seat, which i dont necessarily suggest but it is grounded to the mounting bolts for the seat..like i said, there are plenty of places...
