thats the only thing that is board dependent, they might have the same board but i doubt they're identical, they do the same power also

i don't think quality has anything to do with weather or not it has the same board or is the same thing for example,

the RE 12.1 hasthe same board as the audiopipe gd3001, not in the same class as far as quality but there basically the same amp

lol IIRC the MD2 is based off a us acoustics board, but upgraded and tweaked with better parts like vetklr said
