told the woman i would ship the item overseas for $120 paypal and gave her my paypal addy.... she said she will get the funds out asap....

at what point are those funds legit....when it clears into my bank account?

no, It can take 6 weeks for funds to clear. Ask them to use an escrow service, or walk away. Its a scam. One the item has left the country, there is no legal action. If it stays in the US its called Wire fraud, and the FBI may investigate. Unlikely, but there is hope.

chances are, if you have to ask, it's probably a scam.

Sounds similiar to how I was scammed. They will send you a email that is supposed to be from paypal. Saying the the money has been approved but wont be put into your account until you provide proof the shipping the item. Just be careful.
