is this a scam or no?

Have them paypal you the money. Thats the only way to know for sure. If the money actually goes into your paypal its good. If you get a email like I said saying you have to show proof of shipping first then its a scam.

dont do it, its a scam , if you ship to anyone other than the buyer you can get screwd, or you can let her pay and then ship to the address provided with paypal and then she can deal with it lol scam a scamer that would be awsome

yeah, most likely a scam, if its local then their should be no reason for the person to not pick it up herself. and only ship to people with refs and so forth. rule of thumb, if the person complicates a basic transaction then just bail

Just because a money order clears in your bank, It can still be fake. You see, your local bank wants to make you happy and keep you as a customer. They will cash the MO, give you the money. Then they take the MO and send it to the originator. Who ever the bank who issued the MO. This bank may be in the outer reaches of Mongolia, and it takes 1-2 months to get there. When it arrives, there is no bank. just a card board box saying deposit mail in the slot. When your bank fails to recieve the money from the other bank, they take it from you. Paypal is not foolproof either. For safe transactions, use an escrow service. Cost abit more, but isnt your money worth it?

The one thing that always gives away these scams are that they never say the name of what they're buying.

It's always, I'd like to purchase your "item" or "your product".

That, and they usually have tons of grammar errors.

I just got this in my email from "ebay"

Dear smokem240 (smokem240@gmail.com),

Congratulations, eBay has selected you to be the winner of the following item: 300199966676 (Rockford Fosgate 12" Power HX2 , Model Number RFR3112..).

The seller satterlady (services@markmotorscompany.com) is now obliged to sell the item for a fixed price, by default you are the winner of the item with Buy it Now! price of $130.00 shipping and handling included.

Hello Seller,

What will happen is that you'll get the money (by paypal), ship the item, and then they will claim it was never received, start a claim, you will lose, then you'll be out of the item and the money.

i.e. scam.
