First of all I know there are way better stuff out there no matter what I do, so I would just like you guys to give your opnion on how this set up will do. I want to enter some SQ competitions, but at the same time have good SPL from the subs.

So here goes

Arc Audio 4150XXK

Arc Audio 2500XXK x2

Focal 165K3P Upgraded Version

Focal 165-CV1

IDMax12V3D4 x2 in IB on back dash

Eclipse CD-7000

This will be going into a Ls400 sedan.

will make a great sq system as long as installed properly.. will not be a real spl system though... depends on what you want...

great equipment on there and like they said installation is key. the dual idmax's will get you some pretty good spl. you can try a ported box for them as well as they will still retain great SQ if done correctly. that looks like an awesome sq setup though.

Install is key, but some mighty fine equipment you got there. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Don, I ment to ask you about the CD-7000, because I know u owned one a few months back. Would you recommend the Eclipse CD7000 something else? i was looking kind of at the Pioneer DEX / DEQ P-9 setup, but it costs quite a bit more, and I heard the X-over points were pretty limited.

Should I just stick to the CD-7000? or would the extra $1k or so be worth the SQ I would get ?

What I mean by SPL is maybe just hitting low 140's on the DB's. Would that be possible with a IB setup? The trunk is about 14.7 C^ft. I just want good SQ but still have the ability to show up the people that roll up with the sony xplod 10's or what not.

This is actualy my first audio set up ever, what I had before was a 91 suburban with 1 working 6x9. lol

btw main reason im leaning toward a IB set up is due to trunk space, I was planning a 2.7 c^ft tuned to 28hz for each sub, but than i really cant put much else in the trunk.

Id sit down and figure out exactly what all you will be installing for amperage consumption and add another 10-15% amperage useage on top of that...
