Is this a good pair?

Hey Everyone,

I just wanna see some opinions on this. Right now i have a regular cab f150 with three 12" Kicker CVR's and a JBL 1200.1. I don't have ANY leg room and i'm wanting to downsize on the subs. Would my JBL amp and this Pioneer TS-SW124D ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5811502051&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_ReBay_Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT ) match up good or should i keep looking for another sub.

If you have a halfway decent install, it's hard to go wrong with Pioneer.

What about Adire Kodas?

i had that same sub in my car "link" and is not bad at all, i sold that box with sub for like $260 installed to a friend, and now another friend wants to trade him his 3 10" kenwood subs and box for that one. lol. but he wont give it up.

if you fit it in the right box and not over power it. you will like it. but if you're looking of off the wall spl. all though they are loud and are built right. that's not what they are designed for. if they had them in 10" size i would still be rocking in my car with the pioneer. lol

So if i bought it would you think i could crank my JBL wide open and hook the Pioneer to it or could it not handle all that?

And how big of a box were you runnin'?

it all depends on the amp. the sub can handle only like 300wrms i would not give it more then 400wrms.

btw, the box was 1.12cu ft tuned to 31hz

we'll it says it has a 1200 watt max power. so since i have a 1200 watt amp does that mean i can turn it all the way up or not? i still trying to figure out the difference between wrms and max. ohh and is that box ported or sealed?

that amp's RMS power is 1200+ watts, with peak power being over double that

The sub's RMS is 300 watts, with peak power being around 1200.

Ignoring peak power, you can clearly see you'd be overpowering the sub by quite a bit.

you can turn your volume all the way up as long as you have the amplifier gain set right and not to its max output.
