this was done by Cruisin Concepts of Deland FL....

had this done since october...but my battery was over it so i never saw the ground until the accident....

now that i have the car back the new system is in the works....but i was just wondering if this may have caused my amp to clip, leading to my mags getting really stinky after about 10 minutes.

from what i see, i think they did sand it down to bare metal but not 100% sure. trying taking out all of the screws and seeing, then that way, if its not, you can sand it yourself then put it back. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I dont care if they did grind the paint off, that's still ghetto as hell for a professional job. Id raise hell. If you drive back and show that to the guy in charge, he should be embarrassed and offer to fix it. If he doesn't and claims its functional, well that just shows you the quality of work you should expect from that place.

It should have been drilled out and one solid bolt used... not one sheetmetal screw, and certainly not 9 of them.

the other little hole thing to the right of the ground....it looks like they just used one of those....

and bad ground would lead to voltage drops, which would lead to clipping.....

either way when i get the new system i'll get it redone for we will use bigger wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

So basically you're saying you dont understand how clipping occurs? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Low system voltage will NOT lead to amplifier clipping. Where is this rumor coming from lately?

i cant find it.....

but i know i read somewhere voltage drops can led to clipping....oh well doesnt matter the setup is gone and that ground wont be used again....

shops FTW!!!
