Is this a good amp?

Kenwood excelon kac-x812d @2ohms does 800rms/1600peak

I have been told by a shop that sells this amp that it is no better than a pioneer 760. Is it true or is this actually a real good amp?

i had the KAC9152 D AMP and I had bad luck with it. It does not do its rated power and is not crankable. **** thing just shuts off and gains are not even 50%. dont even bother with it in the summer, slightest temp. change and it will play for 2 mins and shut off for 20 mins.

DO NOT GET THIS AMP AS YOU WILL BE DISSAPOINTED

I have a kac-x811d and this thing is wired to .5 ohm's for a year and almost a half. **** thing won't die on me so i can go buy a nine.1. I think alot of people sleep on this amp or maybe i'm just one of the lucky one's, but tell it does die on me i'm just going to keep banging my Type-R's. Once you go Kenwood you don't go back, J/k. But for real this has to be one of my better amps and i've had Mtx, Alpine and RF. And yes it sounds weird to me to saying I like the Kenwood the best.
