Lol plus you bought an amp from me. Well, the older double stack BTL's and the new BL's look quite similar. But, the power handling is different. I was told it was a BTL but I'm not sure if the guy knew what he was talking about. He trades a lot and doesn't know what is really worth money or not so yeah. I traded a 12w7 for it and $180 so I figured it would be worth it regardless lol.

So that being said, still no real concrete answer why either way..

Well as a point of reference, here's my BL 12". Looks pretty similar.

Though I also have heard that a new BL is very similar to the old double-stacked BTL's, so its hard to say for sure.

Dammit. I thought you of all people would know for sure lol. Well, it looks **** similar that is for sure. I can't tell a difference. Any chance you know how much it weighs exactly?

I do know that the newer BL's were built off the platform of the old double stacked BTL's so..yeah that is why they look similar but there is a difference

Confirmed by nick, that is a BL.

Old style 2 slug BTL's don't have stickers (or the indentation) in the backplate.
