I friend gave me a Kenwood amp that has a RMS rating of 60 Watt RMS x2 at 4 Ohms, the speakers in my doors are only 40 watt RMS. The speakers have built in cross overs which should drop the power a bit, but not 20 watts. Would dropping the gain be okay or is this amp just going to blow my speakers? I currently have a 4 channel amp in my trunk with 2 channels running 6x9's at 50 watts RMS. with the other 2 channels briddged to a 10" sub running at 150 Watts. I guess I could run the 50 watt channels to my doors? would that work?
Right now the 4x6's are running off of the head unit and I have to have the volume turned tot he front at about a 10 setting out of 16 to get a balance of audio. I am thinking about putting in some 5.25"s in the front doors, but none I can afford run of 60w or more, they are all 40 and less.
Any ideas? Thanks for reading!

Here are the speakers I was wanting to run on it: : Polk Audio db461
