I don't know there business model in depth, nor do I know their capacities for building, but by not having a non-electronic method of contact it lowers over head costs. If they make very little $$ on direct sales, but are futher spreading fixed costs over a larger quantity it lowers the break even point on other products.
If scott had to hire somebody to answer phones all day long for Fi, it would raise there cost and they would either have to raise there prices, or discontinue the brand, since they only have to answer Emails, its really not that big of an expense and they can talk during their downtime.
Besides 80% of there customers could care less if they have a phone number, until they have a problem after the sell. By then they already sold there product so they are forced to talk via email.
I would imagine that they believe that the number of sales they lose by not having a phone number is less than what it would cost for them to hire someone, hence why they don't have the contact.
Or I could just be full of BS from 4 years of business courses... who knows.
I think you fail to realize the volume of calls that Fi would receive if they had a phone line. That shit would be ringing nonstop.I have a very simple, more economical way of this phone silly-business...
AN ANSWERING MACHINE
GASP, I know. It's weird... but it's what my Dad does. Takes no more than 10 minutes to call people back. 10 minutes out of your day is not a big deal.
But, it's just as easy to e-mail them.
I added specific information about my situation now to the first post. Why the hell did you bump this thread?
There is no phone number for Fi. The end.
Truf.I think you fail to realize the volume of calls that Fi would receive if they had a phone line. That shit would be ringing nonstop.
IIRC, Fi receives over 100 emails a day. Imagine having to listen to 100 answering machine messages a day, let alone having to call them back. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

I wanted to give them enough time to email me back, and it's been almost a week since they emailed me back (they were getting back to me same day before, regarding my issue of not recieving my product). So now I am asking advice on what to do, as I need the spare part I ordered to fix my broken XXX, but they seem to have stopped emailing me back to follow up on the problem.
Oh, lmao.I think you fail to realize the volume of calls that Fi would receive if they had a phone line. That shit would be ringing nonstop.

I'm down.Truf.
And when scott does have time to answer emails, it is early in the AM, you really think customers want to be called at 2:00AM and told about there subwoofer
yes but Fi sells tinsel leads to them for the older ones (I believe some RE employees actually started Fi if I am not mistaken?)Isn't a XXX an RE product?
i emailed scott at Sales@fiaudio.com or whatever that email was, but it was the one Scott was emailing me with. He was getting back to me within 24 hours up until a week ago, I dunno what happened. I do not know what Nick's email is though.Email Nick (at) ficaraudio.com he'll get you taken care of
