is there a big sq difference between avic-d1 vs d3

i know the d3 has more features and what not but im on a budget and right now and i can get the older d1 for a good price,or should i just wait for a d3?

Big main difference would be the ability to play DVD movies on the D3, DiVX...etc. The D3 has a smaller screen and is not motorized. The DVD movies is a big plus, though.
