hello, I am buying a second hand mono amp, and have had the MTX 8100D presented to me for a good price.

Basically, it has the power to supply my subs nicely, and i just want some advice on the quality of this product.

Is it good? How would it compare to other monos that are in the same league such as the Alpine MDR M1001

Thanks, your advice is greatly appreciated.

mtx > alpine when it comes to amps....hands down.

Had and owned 4 mtx 81000d's. Tough as nails and nothing could hurt em that I did. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

THanks for your advice.

I have the opportunity now to buy a MTX 8100D or a Brand new Alpine MDR 1005.

I am going to run 2 Type R's 12"

Which amp will be better?

Thanks again for your advice. The MTX i can buy is off someone i know, it is 2 years old, but i know it is in perfect working order. The Alpine MDR 1005 is off ebay and is brand new.

I'd prolly just go with the mtx... sux to end up with a bunk alpine amp. Especially sitting over in Norway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Just my 2 cents
