Is "Break in" Really necissary?

It also sounds like the amp is clipping. 500w isn't that much, especially spread across three drivers. Plus, they're only 10" drivers. They aren't made to be hitting rock-bottom bass. Generally, the larger the driver, the better that driver is at hitting lower octaves.

He means tonal qualitys and sensitivity, maximum volume is not what he meant.

To say it is lies is saying you have limited experience with different types of subwoofers.

no one said this. I would say check polarity of everything. Because subs will often make a "fart" like sound when there is alot of cancellation.

Have you ever seen a MOFO right out of the box then compared it to one that has been played for a week. Night and day difference. The mofo's are stiff as $hit when they are brand new.
