is ppi aany good?

Precision power is pretty nice stuff. I have installed several different amps and what not over the years. The last time I had a problem with one was due to my own stupidity //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I used to own the old art series amps back in 96/97

I'm sorry I ever got rid of them.

I had an a404.2 and a a1200.2

the pc2350 should slam.

In my opinion precision power is a very high quality amp

you absolutely can't go wrong with precision power. The new pcx series amps have garnered praise as some of the best amps available, and have made their way into some competitions. I just installed a pcx 440 into my car, which puts out 40x4 rms in 4 ohms with only 12.6 volts, and ppi is also known to underrate their amps for comp. purposes. At 14.4 volts the amp probably pushes almost 100x4, the kicker is that it produces large amounts of power with a s/n ration of 110 and a thd of less than .08, both mean that unless you are dumping way to many decibles into your components and 6x9's you'll never hear a hint of distortion.

hey guys quick question I have the PPI PC2600 600x1 @4ohms and i was thinking of getting rid of it so i could get the JBL 1200x1 because i am thinking of powering a brahma 15 what do you guys think should i change it or keep it

So the amp is 1200w @ 2 Ohms, just like the JBL. I wouldn't give up the PPI, it should have a lot more controls and filters and such than the JBL, so there's no reason to switch. Also, PPI rates their amps down at 12V, so your amp should be putting out above its rating just as the JBL does.

Oops, guess I should have realized its a two channel amp, shame on me.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif

If my understanding of SPL and wattage is correct, changing from your current PPI to the JBL would be somewhere around a 3dB increase. Jlaine, an Adire Audio dealer, is only putting 300w into his Brahma. So I would say hook everything up and take a listen, then go with the JBL if its just not loud enough for you. I love PPI, and personally would just buy the JBL if I wanted it without getting rid of my current amp. Especially considering that your PPI is 2 channel and would be great for some mids or highs. Just my 2 cents.

I currently have 4 of the old art series white a1200.2's along with an art series ax606.2 amp for my high end... i was using all these in a mazda b2200 single cab running 12 jl audio 12w6's back in 1997 and they kick serious ass... in my opinion, the BEST amp on the market... the pc-2350 is even more powerful than the 1200.. youll love it... I WILL NOT EVER GET RID OF THESE AMPS... too hard to come by...
