is my head unit garbage??

i was driving home from work the other day and everything in my truck was working perfect. i stopped at my buddies house and when i left my subs sounded wierd, they were buzzing randomly and would shoot in and out of the box randomly, not to music, it didnt look right. then the music while playing a cd was cutting out, it sounded like if i was listening to a fm/am station and was getting a bad signal but i was playing a cd. then sometimes my no music comes out of anything all of a sudden and a loud whine comes from the subs...could this be my head unit?? this ever happen to anyone?? thanks in advance for any help..o buy the way my head unit is an alpine cda 9855.

You should list what amp you're using, because that may be the problem.

i doubt its my amps, this problem is affecting both speakers and subs, wouldnt that indicate that the problem links the two amps...remote, head unit, idk... what are the odds that both my amp took a sh**.
