is my box to small?

i have a bandpass box and my 2 subs are 8 inches deep and they are about an 8th of an inch from the well holding the speaker terminal is that and can i be losing sound?

The wall holding the speaker terminal? If you mean they are eight inch from touching the back of the speakers Id have to say yes too close. they need more room for proper venting/cooling
