Is my amp fried?

I have a Pioneer GM-X962 powering two bridged 12" mtx's. They sounded great and were quite loud for about a year. Recently I turned the box around to face the seat and in the process rewired things to be more organized, as well as putting a six foot extension on the RCA cable. At first I didn't notice anything, but then I realized the subs didn't seem to be putting out anywhere near what they used to. At first I thought it was becuase I turned the box around, but the difference was just too great for that to be the issue. The amp does get extremely hot, and this summer it overheated a lot. So I tested everything with a voltmeter, the juice is getting to the amp. With the gain set all the way (6.5v) the two channels on the amp tested about .01-.05 volts a piece. For the hell of it I tested the the voltage on the RCA cables, they were putting out about .07 a piece.

Basically I just want to know that the problem is in fact the amp, before I go buy anything new. Is it possible that it is fried, but is still passing through from the head unit, so the head unit is powering the subs with the amp not just letting the signal pass through and not amplifiying it or I am looking at this completely the wrong way. Any information you can give me, whether you think the amp is fried, or any other tests I can do would be greatly appreciated, before I buy a new amp. Thanks, and sorry for the wall of text.
