Is My Amp Dead?

Ihave an Eclipse 4 channel amp about 4 years old. About two weeks ago we started hearing very loud pops now and then. Last week the system went dead as far as audio. If I move the amp around in the trunk the audio will intermittently come on for a second or two, and then off again. I have checked an no connectors are loose. Is this a common symptom of amp failure?

check all wires for shorts. get your amp tested. sounds to me like there could possibly be a melt in the internals.
