Check the pics... They are some older Alpine Type R's that was ripped apart.

My question are:

Can they be fixed?

Is it worth fixing?

Where can i get the parts to fix them myself?

Approx how much will it cost to fix?

If its too complicated, who can fix them?

If they are not fixable, is it worth selling?

How much are they worth if I sell them?

Mind you the price of that re-cone kit is halfway to a new type R and if you mess up assembling the woofer you're throwing the parts away. If you want the DIY experience go for the repair, but be aware of the risk vs. reward.

same here, unless you're going to make them cool and custom for your application with cheap parts and you have the necessary knowledge/experience or help.

great input...thank you for all the info peeps....

nothing custom is going to be made.. just want them usable again. i consider myself pretty mechanically inclined; i dont think ill have that much trouble.

but if I were to get new subs instead of rebuilding these, what the ball park that these go for?
