brand new a DD 1510 runs about $180.....and it sounds good with 300 to 1000 rms

for that much i would keep what you have. do you have a ported box? if not build one of thoose for 30-50 dollars and see if you like it.

Sealed box "grandprix" i listen to mostly rock and only some rap however i have heard that if a ported box is built correctly it can also be quite musical. Correct?
