is it worth it or should i go bigger

I want to be louder. If i buy different subs that only handle 150 watts a piece more than my current setup is it gonna be a worthwhile difference or should i wait and buy something that takes even more power?

I know it's a dumb question, your help is appreciated anyway.

You can't compare how loud a sub will be just by their wattage handling. Most subs that handle more wattage have a less sensitive db rating.

Its not about a speaker that can take more power will be louder. Its about what amp u get, box especially critical. 1 500w 10 can be just as loud as 1 1000w 12 if done correctly

subs now are memphis pr 10's rated at 250 watts rms. was looking at pioneer 10's that handle 400 watts rms for $59 a piece on sonic. I will buy a new amp with the new subs

i would not waste money to do that. atleast double the power IMO. and if ya can go 12s and build a nice ported box.

correction, the 12's take 400 rms, the 10's only take 350, was gonna go up to the 12's

MEMPHIS > Pioneer subs. Throw a clean 750 rms to each, youll be fine as long as you don't clip your amp, and send a dirty signal.
