Is it possible?

Is bass boost on the sub bad to have past 0 as well? It doesn't perform like it used to anymore so i feel the need to crank the boosts. Pretty bad huh. Its only gotta live 2 more months till i sell it to my bro

BB only boosts a frequency and a curve around that frequency giving you a peaky response. I always leave it off.

and what will the frequency do for me?
if you mean for the HPF, the HPF frequency allows all frequencies above that number through at full gain and everything below that frequency dissipates on a set curve (such as -12db/octave)

On the amp it sais xover freq. And i should have the gain all the way up? Right?
the gain should be set based on your hu's output voltage. some do this by ear and others of us use meters. just turning it all the way up can damage the sub and/or amp depending on the hu's output.

xover = crossover and freq = frequency. so set the filter to HPF and the xover freq to 80+ hz. the higher the frequency the less lows the mids will try to play.

Oh i see. Ill try to turn everything back to 0 tommorrow and tune my sub the right way. Is it ok to have the xplod eq on if its all set to 0? Or do i need to put no eq? Is there a test tone for tuning speakers? I've heard that you use a sine wave or something of 1 hz but i didn't understand how to use it. They said that you play it through the speakers but then some said you don't. i didn't understand how to do it

1khz -3dB test tone for frontstage60hz -3dB test tone for substage.
I have always argued this.....

I never like the way the test tone way came out as the gains were never high enough to make up for the -db of music. I prefer for sub amp setup to use a very bass heavy sustained low frequency. This is how I set mine up and how I have set up quite a few others and never had any issues.

you should try a few ways and be aware of distortion. if you do it by ear make sure you know what low frequency distortion sounds like.

I also set mine by ear, but I also know what HPF, LPF, SSFs all do. I wouldn't recommend for a new guy without experience. Don't throw the 2yr old learning to swim in the ocean bro //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
