Is it possible for two companies amps to use same boards but different parts

I mean I am sure it is possible but is it likely I should say. I had a Kole 2400db for 3 years and I have put that amp through TONS of abuse. Couldn't get it to kill over and I really like them. Thing is the lanzar HTG2600d uses the EXACT same internals but it has a red board rather than a green one like in the koles. The thing is I can get the 2600's considerably cheaper. I know power wise both probably going to do the same. But what about from reliability perspective... The kole is a TANK. Is it likely the lanzar will use weaker protection circuits etc .... thanks for any feedback

I had, and now a friend has a Concept 1200D amp.. and it uses the same board as other "cheaper" amps use, although it seems to not have any bad reviews compared to the other reviews for the same board under a different companies name.. do the research..

Yes, and it happens a lot more than you think. Not just car audio, but everything.

I work in communications and a couple years ago I was tasked with finding some new DSL modems for our company to use. I tested 12-15 different units, probably half of them had identical guts and even identical software but with different logos..
