Is it okay to connect two fork terminals into one binding post?

Achtung baby,

I already have two sets of 8 gauge power/ground cables from my two previous systems. My new amplifier has an 90A fuse, so I'll definitely need a larger cable size.

Can I just connect the two 8 gauge cable sets to the one amplifier? The combined copper should equal approx 2 gauge worth. I'm just not sure if it's a good idea or not, will the current flow smoothly enough?

Naturally, the cables are already crimped with ring and fork terminals, so the solution seems more convenient in theory, I'm just not certain about the practical realities of electrons in motion.

It would mean two fork terminals into each binding post, two ring terminals into same ground position, two ring terminals around the battery bolt, and obviously each 8 gauge cable will have its own 60A fuse. What would happen in an overload? Would both fuses blow simultaneously?

Yes it could work but I would just do yourself a favor and get a run of 4g or even 0g. 4g OFC is $1.5 a foot and 0g CCA is $2 a foot.

What is your budget? With being exposed to Rain.. I would recommend looking at a marine grade SAS Bazooka for the sub stage

the AVIC was a tad more complicated to wire not to mention stuffing it in a smallish stereo hole. thanks for advice.

I agree; it doesn't. :) See my comment above on Tuesday at 4:08 pm; in short, I'll use the auxiliary port on the FM transmitter.

The end result is, not the intention. I think OP got what I was saying. The Brits generally aren't as sensitive. A 500w sub amp does not...
