Is it OK to buy a refirbushed 06 L715? $142

At just $142 for a 06 S15L7 it seams like a good deal. Its there any reason a refurbed Kicker would not be as good as a brand new one? Good deal or not?

Should be ok, but not sure on the warranty on a refurb. I imagine it would be the same 1 year or whatever they give out.

I personally like the Kicker CVX better. Is the circle version of the L7, but seems to sound better IMO and get just as loud. Can get 1 of those brand new for 180 at onlinestero.com.

I don't buy refurbs in my case, but you should be ok if you want to go that route. Might find a better price if you keep checking around though.

I bough a refurb zx750.1, and it looked and worked like brand new. I believe kicker has a 3 month warranty on their refurbished products, just make sure to buy it from an authorized dealer.

From everything I've heard about the L7 and CVX, I would go CVX (never heard on in person tho), but I did hear a pair of 15" L7's and didnt care for the way they sounded, but it was loud tho.

if buying from a kicker authorized dealer i believe you get a 90 day warranty on refurbs. and i want to say a refurb sub is basically all new soft parts so you should be o.k. solos', from what i've read and been told by several dealers, tend to have problems due to the increased stress points at the corners. so the refurb should be all new cone, which was probably the problem imo.

but i agree with the others, the cvx would be a better choice. install dependant they can get as loud as the l7, but with better sq.
