Is it necessary to use sound deadener in this scenario?

I'm walling off three 15's in my car, and I have the rear seats out and the hatch floor (metal) showing. I was wondering if I should use some deadener and lay it on where the rear seats used to be as well as a bit in the hatch floor area. I didn't know if this is worth doing is because I figured that since there will be tons of wood in that area as well as it being walled off from the front it wouldn't be all that noticeable?

Thoughts? Thanks guys! Here is what my back area looks like now.

It wouldn't be a bad idea but if I could only use enough deadener to do either the floor or the roof, the roof wins every time. Your floor pan is already deadened to some degree from the factory, so it's going to be the last thing to rattle or flex badly. Plus, it's generally a lot more sturdy than the other body panels.

But... the important thing to do is make sure you have an access panel in the box floor above the fuel pump, if that's what I'm seeing in your pic. ;-)

Thanks for the reply! Alright, so I'm going to ask a question that you might grindge at... What is the importance of having an access panel for the fuel pump? Not trying to act smart or anything, I'm honestly curious lol. I'm retarded when it comes to most mechanical stuff of autos. What would happen if I just put the floor directly on top and covered it up? Even if I did build an access panel, it would still be hard to access right? To take this even more to the extreme of my lack of mechanical knowledge... I'm assuming the fuel pump is that shiny round piece of metal with a black wire coming out of it where the rear seats used to be? Lol >.

If that is the fuel pump and you have an access panel, it's a matter of removing a sub or two, removing some screws and a panel, and walla, you have access to the fuel pump. If there's no panel... it's remove a sub or two, make a guess where the hole should be cut, wrestle a saw into the box, hope the blade doesn't chop a wire in two, make an uneven, rough arsed cut in the floor of the box, pry out the piece of cut panel, replace fuel pump, fab up the access panel you should have fabbed up when it was easy, then replace.

The choice is yours bro. You might not ever even need to access the fuel pump. Stranger things have happened. ;-)

I really appreciate you catching this. I'll see if I can make a panel to get down to it! Thanks.
