Is it just me or...

So that's how y'all do it, go numb
before that, your skin feels like its burning. It hurts so bad. Then it starts to tingle for a bit and doesn't feel as bad........right before your skin goes numb and starts to DIE!

0 degree is the kind of weather where simply opening the door to your car and getting in is a task and a half. Getting mail, taking out the trash, etc. Your body is tense and the cold air is assaulting you from every direction you can't even move.

Sort of like those cartoons where a character freezes still for a comedic effect. It sure aint funny in real life though.

Quit being so dramatic ya pansies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

my fingers start to hurt after about 30 minutes but im use to it
30 minutes!? jeez......

I was putting gas the other day without gloves in 5 degree temps. Wind chill was murder and my hands turned red and went numb. i couldn't bend my fingers quick enough. I was scared for a bit because of potential frostbite but everything went back to normal after putting my hands in front air ducts in the car. This was all in 5 minutes.

My hands still felt like they were burned for the rest of the day though......can't wait till March. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

The last two days here at Fort Drum were -12 with wind a wind chill of -36. A couple inches of snow fell on about 2 inches of ice that rained down on top of the 2 feet of snow already here.LOL. This pace blows. Our four seasons are Fall, Winter, Spring, Tuesday, and then winter again. It is so cold, I actually saw a teenaged boy pull up his pants.

he must of got tired of waiting for you to snuggle with him. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gif
Realy? You can do better than that, it makes no sense at all. I would of went with something like, " Well, I hope he let you finish", or something relevant. C'mon.

I wear cotton hand warmers inside of winter work gloves. when i work with steel wrenches my hands start to hurt after 10 minutes.

When working in the garage I have a heat dish and big ol halogen lamps to help a little, otherwise long johns, wool socks, skin tight thinsulate-lined undershirt, a hoodie, jeans, and my trusty deerskin gloves is what I wear. Not so much clothes that it affects mobility but enough to stay warm
