Is it ever loud enough?

This. Low-distortion mixed with a well designed and balanced system can play extremely loud without the expected fatigue. Those ghetto cars with 234231412 speakers are not even in the ball park of that. Those things are taxing on the ears after 5 seconds even 50 feet away.
you completely missed the connotation in what he said.. lol

what's perception got to do with anything?
oh

I've been without a setup for a while so a 140 would probably seem quite loud for daily listening but that only lasts a couple months. I've never met someone though that was satisfied with their setup. It'd take a lot to make me happy forever.
I think me and @Massive spl would be happy once I finally get my x15's in the Tahoe.....it's coming soon. Finally getting some decent weather.
You will prly build the wrong box for them. Do 9cubes tuned to 28hz yummmmm

Loud enough for "you" or loud enough to impress others? My daily will make my ears ring after a few songs, demo set up will **** them in 30 seconds if I so desire....both are loud enough for me....

To impress others you don't need much nowadays.

Here in the Netherlands people already look at you in a strange way if you run a 100 watt rms active sub-woofer which sounds like complete ****.

I'm so curious to see their faces soon when I hook up my Sundown sub-woofer (when my box is finished).

Depends on the person.

Most people are impressed by a 12 on over 1,000 watts. Some people I go full tilt before they bail. I've had two or three people bail so far during demos

Mostly depends up on standards, some people are used to loud music others aren't.

Most who can handle loud music aren't afraid of some bass.

I've had people bailing 2 years ago when I was just running 350 rms lol...

Others still don't bail with my 800 rms right now. I'm not trying to impress however, it's mostly because I just enjoy car audio.

Might in the future with a bigger budget //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

Im assuming you used REW or similiar to tune to the harmon house curve.
How did you go about tuning to the curve? I want too but i dont have the numbers to enter into REW to do it.
The MS-8 did most of it. I just had to go back and make a few cuts to the 40-63hz range. Checked with REW

lol

I'm not loud cuz no one bails on me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif I need to find some noobs to demo
Yeah, not many average highschoolers take a full tilt demo for long. I'm going to see if Tayler wants a demo today since I got my three 7k's in. I'm hoping to have a thing with her. She likes music a lot and was interested in my system when i was talking to my friends about it before spring break. I showed her a video of my truck doing a hairtrick with the DDZ's and she wanted to do one, haha

I think it really depends on the type of music you listen to daily. The past year or so I've moved away from bass heavy genres and find I don't need a lot of bass to be happy. I've actually ended up running at 4 ohms and throttling the gain down by a considerable margin (about 1/2 way from where it would normally be set using an oscope). But every once in a while when I do listen to some rap, hip hop, or dance music I find myself wanting more.
