Is Geico a good insurance company?

they fuked me on a car when i was a teen. they told my dad they would insure me under the car. we bought the car and 6 months later sent us a letter they can't insure the car because of it being a turbo. lost some money getting rid of the car. i have always had state farm since and they have never given me any problems or raised my rates if i had a wreck

Hate Geico!

My wifes car was rear ended last winter and the person that hit her had Geico insurance. Well it was cleary her fault and that is not my gripe with them. My problem was when we got the car fixed they didn't fix everything. Such as the struts in the car. It was clearly ruined in the accident as I had just replaced them not 5 months ago before the accident and even showed them proof that I had it done. They refused to cover that part of the repairs. What the fawk is 300 more when I already had 4300 dollars in repairs anyway? Fawking scum ******* pigs! I ended up getting it done for 125 for both, but still that shit should have been covered!

Go with Progressive. I have been with them only a few months, but is a nice company. They talk everything over and make you feel comfortable with your choice. I have 2 cars (Fully covered) and renters insurance through them for a little over 100 bucks a month and this is the 2nd time I went back with them. First time I left them I had no choice, lol! Long story...............and they still took me back, with the best rates!

Geico is awesome they saved me way more than 15%. As a single male, 24 yrs old when I bought my 04 Dakota Quad CAb V8 AAA wanted 3 grand a year living with my 55+ year old parents in Philly. I moved to the suburbs, switched to Liberty Mutual, got it down to 2 grand. Then All State got me down to 1700 per year, but then the discounts they used to sucker me in expired and I was lookin at over 2 grand again. Geico got me down to less than 1200 bucks and has kept me there ever since.

Got ear ended at speed by some stupid highschool ***** talkin on her cell who hit 4 other people in the last 6 months. I guess the cop didn't want to give the cute high school chick a hard time cause she didn't have her insurance info and he gave her 10 days to present it rather than citing her immediately and making her call home to get it. I went through my insurance company and told them I wasn't willin to wait. They tracked her down within a week while simultaneously putting me in a rental car and getting my truck fixed within about a week and a half. No muss, no fuss.

The only thing to be aware of, at least the way I was told it works is if you have a heavily modified vehicle like most companies you have to tell them about any modifications you want covered it and you can only insure up to a certain dollar amount worth of modifications (I forget what that is, somewhere between 2 and 5 grand) before you have to start paying more for the extra coverage. So if you cheap out and leave some things out because you don't want to pay for the extra coverage you may be SOL in some situations.

like i said, it's all in the eyes of the insured...everyone has their own opinions on things...being on this side of the fence, Geico isnt that bad...not the best for sure, but if you are in the market for lower cost insurance with decent coverage, they are one of the better ways to go...
