Is Geico a good insurance company?

Farm Bureau FTMFW!! (not just cuz I'm an agent either //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif)

worth checking out if theres a halfway decent agent there.

WTF? You have full coverage?
What year is that vette?
not sure on what year his vette is but i think snoopdan is a little older than most of us.

i WAS paying only 40/mo for my wifes grand am and only 50 for my 2000 tahoe. usaa is now charging way more. i quoted everyone around and havent really found anyone too much better and might stick with usaa as ive been with them for 9 years now. i think ill actually call some compnanies though instead of just online quotes tomorow

Nah, I dont have full coverage. The vette rarely leaves the garage anyways. But since I read this thread today, I figured id adjust my policy and add my jeep in Tennesee now...so I got a new quote.

$48 a month for both vehicles //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

no complaints here.

I have had 2 back to back bad experiences with Geico. First one, I was hit by a drunk driver...police report was submitted as the driver was arrested on the scene. My car was totalled. Geico deemed that the accident was my fault because I had a stop sign (which I was stopped at when the drunkard hit me).

Second experience was with my new car. Some kid was racing up my street and lost control of his truck. It flipped over and slid into my car. Geico fixed the damages like they were supposed to. Everything was fine until I get a notice from the DMV saying that I have no insurance. It turns out that Geico messed up their paperwork, said the accident was my fault (I wasn't even in the car and it was parked in front of my house), and dropped my coverage costing me $1600 in fines to the DMV. All without telling me a thing. When I called them about it all they were trying to do is sell me "high risk" insurance. All with a perfect driving record.

I'm with Esurance now and couldn't be happier.

With my experience being an Agent, you can't ever get an exact quote online. Not with Allstate anyway. We can do rough quotes, but once we get your personal information it can change the premium drastically. I don't even like doing rough quotes. lol

Anyway, yeah, good idea to actually call people. Hope you don't mind giving your DL# and SS# out on the phone though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

go with AIG

For real though, Progressive is the company I've had the best experience with (out of the big companies). They handled my mom's claim awesome when their customer hit her. Paid for a nicer rental and even covered the insurance my dad signed up for without reading the fine print (his unbelievable impatience with paperwork almost cost us over $200, but they took care of it).

American Family sucks *** though. One of their customers hit me while he was coming the wrong way down a marked one-way lane in a parking lot. They still tried to pin it on me and I only got half my money after threatening to take them to court.

My family uses General Casualty, and we get great service through our underwriter. But I don't think that company is available everywhere. And all our service is dealt with through a private underwriter who deals with the insurance company for us. Might try checking that out. It's always nice to have someone local you can talk to, ask questions of, or bitch at) if you ever have problems.
