tomorrow i plan on setting a friend of mines amp...his equipment is a hifonics 1600, a 15"L7 wired at 1ohm, in a 4.4cuft box at 34hz.....after connecting the multimeter to the amps terminals (same ones the speakers gonna be wired to)....i should be reading 31.6 ac volts....(using the subs rms rating)....sqrt(1000x1)....playing a 50hz 0db test tone......SHOULD I LEAVE THE AMPS BASS BOOST ON 0DB???....
but in order to prevent him from sending his sub more power than what i set his amp to...i plan on setting his gains with his head unit's "sub level" all the way up....and "bass" level is at 0...(is this the right way to do it?).....then i'll set his subsonic filter at about 28-30...with his LPF at about 75....would this be the correct way to completely tune his amp????...without an o-scope
