Is DLP done?

They seem to be getting pretty cheap for the giant sizes, the rainbow thing is about done, the bulbs are getting cheaper and they supposedly work good in "well - lit" rooms.

Should I consider DLP in a possible HDTV purchase?

Really? Why is DLP done for?

HOnestly interested in why its fading out. I know they have newer laser technology TV's coming out soon, but I seen the prices on them suckers, and it's not going to be a viable option to main stream adopters of HD.

Its like the HD formats are outgrowing themselves way to quickly, I mean I see news that Blu-Ray is about to become obsolete in a way, that one company "VUDU" i think or something like that.

THey apparently can stream movies and things in 1080p, thats all I've heard tho.

Still, why are the DLP's deadz?

LCD is the way to go but make sure u get 120hz or better refresh rate or u will get screen gitter

Well if your playing GH2 or later on 360 cant you set the lag?

I havent tried older GH's on ps2 or ne thing.

Whats the relation of the 120hz to pixel refresh rate?

Is there a relation?

lcd is the new DLP...

however, the reason they are cheaper, and the "larger" tv's that are dlp compared to alcd the same size, is they are easier to build. its projection. not liquid crystals...

they still have amazing graphics though.

samsung makes a stout dlp. ex roomate had a 72 incher, it was sweet.

sony ftw in lcd. but you pay for what youget...

Well GH3 on what system? If your playing 360 or PS3, i doubt there would be lag.

There's no lag... 120hz is overrated...

They just double the native refresh rate...

360. it feels laggy compared to my projection even wit the lag set. of course i play on hyperspeed 4......

I am thinking about getting DLP. More bigger for cheaper. I think Vanns has a 61" samsung for $1,500.

Why is LCD better? Just because there are more in display?
