Is DLP done?

LCD and DLP will be around for a while. Plasma will be fading out, too many "burn in" issues, as well as having to have them recharged. Friend had 50 inch Samsung Plasma that only lasted about 3 years
what?

any new plasma does not have burn in or what is also called image retention. PDP manufactures have all implemented pixel shift which helps reduce any sort of image retention or burn in

also plasmas can not be re-charged. I know many many people with 4 and 5 year old plasmas and none of them have any issue

also plasma tvs currently still outperform lcd and dlp in regards to anything in reference to picture quality.. look at a Pioneer plasma then compare it to any lcd or dlp on the market //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

LCOS was better than DLP, but its pretty much dead after Sony stopped making it.
Liquid images comparable to plasma, bright like DLP, but from what I read they werent as inexpensive to make as DLP or regular LCD.

JVC still makes LCOS sets, supposed to be great (NASA uses JVC LCOS sets), but I havent seen them myself.

the JVC ILDA projectors are nice.. their tvs on the other hand are pretty meh
