All I can say is WOW ...... if you can't drive 45 min to a comp, you are definitely in the wrong sport/hobby. I guess everyone expects to have 5 or 6 comps within 5 mins of their doorstep every year. No wonder it's drying up. I went to like 8-10 comps this year and the CLOSEST one was a 30-40 min drive (one way). The only other option is to find out how to get your shops to hold a show and then SUPPORT it.The only one that was near me was Taylor, MI and that was 45 min away
Amen, got to be willing to go a ways. Last weekend I went a bit past chicago for the caco competition, 6.5+ hour drive (started driving at 2am to get there) and it was a good timeAll I can say is WOW ...... if you can't drive 45 min to a comp, you are definitely in the wrong sport/hobby.
