Plasma Tweeters. Who has heard them?

They're real.

I've built a few and they're generally harsh quality, unless you use a higher frequency ZVS PWM driver (80khz+1MHz) and a custom wound flyback transformer to match. These are the ones with the "large yellow or purple spark."

Not that loud at all.

I didn't even click on your links or read your entire first post.

I built them when I thrived in the high voltage hobby.

If you are really interested, I could educate/inform you about them.

Im really interested.

are they expensive to make?

and do they take a lot of prior knowledge of the subject to build them, or are they pretty straight forward with directions?

So is anyone actually interested? If so, IM me on AIM. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The one in posted above link is based on a tube, in order to reach higher frequencies. The one in the first post is solid state. Each have the pros and cons.
