Is all copper wire oxygen free

No, not all copper wire is OFC...but that being said, I wouldn't worry about it.

OFC wire is not going to sound any better than non-OFC wire, just like cryo-treating wires isn't going to make a difference in SQ.

It's not a "marketing gimmick" - I mean, OFC wire technically is more resistant to corrosion. However, if you properly install your wires, corrosion in a product's normal lifespan shouldn't be a major concern. But saying that OFC wire sounds better certainly is marketing hocus-pocus, and should be prompty heckled //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yeah, you ever read a "high end" speaker cable or interconnect package when they explain what makes their cables sooooo much better than the rest.??? I got one sentence in before I roll my eyes and put it back on the shelf. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Ever read a review of interconnects in Stereophool? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif When they start talking about how their cables make their soundstage holographic, I stop paying serious attention...

I'm guilty of using Canare speaker wire, but I wanted something that would last for a long time, and I'm well aware that it's not important for the SQ of my system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I should have gone into marketing/sales...it must be really nice not to be bound by the physical laws of the universe.

Maybe I'll try it sometime.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif Guilty of using AudioQuest Type 6 myself. But just as you said, I wanted something that had good solid terminations (banana BFA) and would last a long time.

"Hear the roar of a train from left to right from just two visible speakers positioned in the front of your room."

ummm,,It only takes two speakers to hear left and right channels. Notice they never actually claim that the rear channels sound like they are behind you. Very strategic marketing.
