is .5% THD normal for a class D amp

you wont notice any difference WHATSOEVER at or below 1% THD. Many people say you won't hear a difference higher either. With a single unchanging tone you MIGHT notice a difference around 5% THD, but when playing music you won't even notice it then.

Case in point, both amps are fine.
