i have a single zv4 15 with a box i made. its 5 cubs with a 8 in external aero and im running a vfl 400.1 to the sub a 1 ohm. it pounds but idk if its to big. its tuned to around 33 hz. i feel like it could maybe be a little louder but idk. i know most people do 4 to 4.5 cubs for this sub but just trying to get more opinions. also im wondering about tuning if anyone has any opinions on that too. Thanks peeps.

I wouldn't think it's too big. I'd rather have a box a bit bigger than smaller anyways.

Yes, could shrink the box by adding blocks inside.

Internal or external aeroport? If it's external, you could flip it to internal and reduce chamber volume

Overpowering it?
There's people putting 2-3 times the power on those including the x series.
overpowering in a large enclosure, dont take what i said out of context and into a completely different context than what i was referring to

It's big for more than rated power. Anything over on power yeah it would do better at 4 net. Adding 2x4's will drop the net but will also raise the tuning some.

That's just it....it's always you. teehee
Yea I don't force people to use something I actually listen to what kind of frequency response they want plot group delay impedance phase they have a general understanding of how the woofers react in those alignments they were originally designed to sound good angle and small vented boxes if you don't believe me ask Jake up himself

4.25cubes isn't that small but Ya Jacob also likes the sound of sealed woofers. Yucky lol. I want that loud exaggerated low end!!!! And still play up higher just not as loud. I'd do a ported box around 4.5cubes.
