no i was talking to the op EJ. i know the ones you mentioned can as i have been in aww over the new pioneer for quite a bit now.
and to the OP, for the average audiophile, a 3-way active setup is all you will need. just make sure you know what your doing when you piece it together, and how your gonna do it.
i remember when i thought i was ready for an active setup, bought a dva-9861 with an h701. some id oem's w/ some hertz tweets. installed it all. turned on the 9861 to start tuning and i didnt know what the **** to do.
sold it all, and said i wasnt going back until i understood it more. well ive been back for a while now, but there is still some stuff im trying to understand, not neccesarily with running active, but more on the T/A and getting my stage set via EQ.
but if this is your first active setup, dont go 4-way, or even 3-way. start with a simple 2-way front stage and work on that, kinda get the feel of it and then add your substage.
