Is 38 Hz...?

Im building a box for 2 10" MTX 7500's. The sheet that comes with the subs says that they recomend 1.25^3 tuned to 38 Hz. per sub. Now I HAVE READ The Subwoofer Enclosure Tuning Thread at the top but would like to know, is 38 Hz good for SPL and SQ or does that frequency lean more twards one of the two.

IMO 38hz is closer to SPL than SQ, if you want to be inbetween SQ and SPL, id tune to 32-35 or so.

everyones SPL and SQ are different, those are just my personal #s

Yea I understand that everyones ears are different. I just always thought that the Hz would affect SQ and SPL. This wil be my first attempt at a ported box so I guess Ill findout Saturday how good I did.

i have my sub tuned to 45hz and it hits every note and still sounds clean. at least as good as my 2 previous momo mm10's (the ones that came with an enclosure).

Well Im really looking for about 60/40 Sq/Spl
