IS 300 Box thoughts?

I've got 2 13w7's with 2 1000/1's waiting to go into the back of my IS300. The problem is that I have no trunk...but worse is the fact that the back seat and rear deck are solid... All I have is like a 8"x10" "ski port" and 2 6"x9" speakers in the rear deck. I'm concerned that my sound won't make it in the cab (as good as it should). I've got a strong front stage, and I do plan on pulling the rear 6x9's. Although I do have a set of 6 1/2's I was thinking of finding a place for in the rear somewhere. I think the holes in the rear deck (once I pull the 6x9's) will help get the sound to the front. Any suggestions? I hope I'm wrong. Fire away!

Here's a thread that contains pic's of how the bracing is on the backside of the seat and the rear deck on an IS300. This is why I have the question on how to best get the bass/air movement to the front cab area. That's the tightest bracing I've ever seen!

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Especially with links or pic's...

nice car, i work for lexus here in tampa. iam helping a fellow tech build a motor for his is300 thats going to be turboed and should be running about 800 to 1000 hp. ill pm you some pics tomorrow of the car and motor.

i have seen a few systems in other is's that had the subs fireing through the pass through and they sounded good. they had the subs basicaly sealed off from the trunk and the boxes were all the way up aganst the rear seat.

WoW! 800 to 1000 HP! I've twin turboed my Chevy 1500 and now I never drive it since everytime I get it out I break something... last time the leaf springs "S'ed" on me and pulled the yolk out of the *****, beat the drive shaft on the bottom of the bed, and broke the bellhousing in half. Anyways, my latest toy is the IS and I LOVE IT! I've got a set of Mazzuriti (spelling I'm sure is off) Headers on the way as a simple bolt-on upgrade till I figure my next plan of attack. That'd be too much motor, at the stock 200 Hp (roughly) it'll get up and go for a four door!

As far as the my IS: I thought of porting, but seemed difficult with 2 13w7's through the 6x9 holes due to the amout of air displaced...

Nice box James Bang! If I was single sub'ing it I'd conside that route! Two 13w7's won't fit quite that way though I don't think... :)

if you ever get the chance to drive the is-f, do it. 400+hp 4-door stock.

the new gs460 aint bad eaither:cool:

That's key!!! Most importantly you can park at Wal-Mart, where are they parking a $90K vehicle?

Anyone got any install pic's on the IS300? I'm really undecided on this one for once!

Thanks again for the pic James Bang!
