You need to get brackets made for your specific car, and make sure it will fit in the place where the factorey alternator is, or find a new spot for it and re-run the wires.

That is about it.

No idea how many amps at idle.

When he built it for me (years ago) I told him i needed a 190 amp alternator.

That is what he sent. Beyond that I have no info
