I am confused
i have a eclipse 6620 with a ipc106. will it work or not with the adaptor

Try it and find out. If it does not charge, it will need the adapter. It will play regardless.

I don't know what adapter you are talking about. All I have is the ipc106 unit connected to my eclipse cd7000 and my iPod touch works perfectly with it. I don't have any other adapter for it. The ipc charges the iPod and allows you to control the iPod thru the headunit. You cannot control music thru the iPod itself tho when connected to ipc.

Mine needed it and that adapter does exactly what it says it will.

You will need a $30 adapter. Apple was retarded and made them so they only charge on 5 volt sources and not 12 volt. That is of course if you want it to charge. Even if you don't have wifi in the house you can still use the remote app. Create an ad-hoc network to share the internet through your computers wifi card and you will still be able to control your music library. I learned this after the family ditched the wifi and I was SOL. After walking back and forth to the computer 500 times I figured I could enable internet sharing on the macbook and POW! Back up and running. I use my iphone constantly to change songs and playlists around the house. Can't wait until they release the 3.0 software for it this summer, copy and paste, mms, wide screen texting. Mmmmm.

I paid $500 for a 1g 32 gig and it was worth every cent.

Living in Seoul, a city with wifi everywhere, i use it all the time for teh emails, facebook, currency exchange rate, weather, music, watching teh tv in taxi/subway, surfing,.. and so much more
