iPod - scrolling through one long track with wheel on HU?

I'm just starting to look at HUs, have my eyes on the 9887 and have read the PDF from Alpine's website but can't figure this out:

I like to download mixtapes/DJ sets. These are 1-2 hour single tracks. So instead of having 12-20 individual tracks, it is just one long track.

An iPod allows me to scroll through the mix quickly by rotating the iPod wheel.

Do any of the iPod-compatible HUs such as the 9887 allow me to do that with the wheel on the front of the head unit?

If the 9887 won't let me do it, are there any others out there that will?

that's a great program, I love it, but sometimes it gets a little old breaking up these files. If there was a way to split all the files up into chunks instead of having to do it with each mp3, one at a time, that would rock.
