ipod connection with pioneer avh-p41000

I recently bought pioneer avh-p4100dvd with cdiu200v to connect my ipod video to it. but it's not reading the ipod video, however it does read my iphone with the artwork and everything. but I actually wanted to connect my ipod video on to it because it can hold more songs, so my questin is can you use the usb cable instead of the cd iu200v and plug in your ipod cable that you use to connect to the computer to make it work with artwork, title and everything?
